Billy Bain

Billy Calvin Bain, 78, of Savannah, passed away on Monday, January 12, the son of the late William Frank Bain and Ann McDaniel Bain.
He is survived by brothers, Jimmy Bain and Dr. Steve Bain; sister Pat Prather (Frank Prather), and brother Dr. Steve Bain.
He was united in marriage to Connie Russell Bain and they had three daughters, Marion Bain Bishop, Paige Bain Stricklin and Kelley Bain Surratt; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Billy enlisted in the Marine Corp in 1966 and completed his tour of duty in Vietnam in 1968. Billy worked in the capacity of Law Enforcement for several years locally, then worked for the Tennessee Department of Corrections in Clifton, Tennessee, until his retirement in 2008.
Wehn he was passed he was married to his current wife, Rebecca Daniel Bain, and gained his stepchildren, Vince Daniel, Brandon Daniel and Tyrell Daniel; six stepgrandchildren; and several stepgreat-grandchildren.

Memorial services were held on Friday, January 16, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah, with Dr. Steve Bain officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Hermon Cemetery in Savannah
