Betty Jane Smith O’Daniel, 53, of  Savannah, died Thursday, Feb. 19.
She was born in Savannah, the daughter of Bessie Smith and the late Alvin Eugene Smith.
Mrs. O’Daniel was united in marriage to Jerry Lynn O’Daniel, who survives.
She was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church. She worked as manager of the Walnut Grove Cafe and was previously employed at Savannah Tobacco and Tim Sharp Logging.
In addition to her husband and mother, Betty is survived by four step-children, Corey, Jeremy and FayLynn O’Daniel, all of Paris, Tennessee, and Thomas O’Daniel of Dyer, Tennessee; three sisters, Barbara Shubert, Wanda Franks, and Becky Lambert; two brothers, Garry Smith and Arthur Smith; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lou Franks; and a brother, Alvin Ray Smith.
Services were held on Sunday, Feb. 22, at Walnut Grove Church of Christ in Savannah with David Dowdy, Jimmy McGee and Carl Copeland officiating. Burial followed in the Hollands Creek Cemetery at Savannah.
