Bentley White (8-28-10) services 8-31-10

Bentley Ryan White was born in Savannah, on Aug. 22, 2010, the son of Brooke Lea Atkins and Jeffrey Lee White Jr.

He departed this life on Saturday, Aug. 28, at The Med in Memphis, at the age of 6 days.

Bentley was surrounded by lots of family and friends and was shown many acts of kindness from everyone.

In addition to his parents, Brooke and Jeffrey of Savannah, he is survived by his grandparents, Robin and Roger Beam, parents of Jeffrey; and Chris and Benita Alexander, parents of Brooke, all of Savannah; great-grandparents, Billy and Joanie Pickens, Gary and Sue Talley, Edward White, Ed and Ronda Alexander, all of Savannah, and Janet Green of Dover, Tenn.; his great-great-grandparents, Alberta Green of Dover, Tenn., Frank and Patsy Talley of Savannah and Doris Forsythe of Selmer; aunts, Carla Ganus, Terri Beam and Totiona Simmons, all of Savannah; uncles, Justin Atkins, Tristan White, Justin White and Cody Beam, all of Savannah.

Bentley is also survived by lots of great aunts and uncles, cousins and extended family members.

The family would like to thank everyone for all their prayers and support and a special thank you to Hardin Medical Center OB Department., The Med at Memphis and Shackelford Funeral Directors. A huge special thank you to Dr. Greg Mitchell.

Services were held on Tuesday, Aug. 31, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Chapel in Savannah, with Ed Alexander officiating. Burial was in the Mount Hermon Cemetery at Hardin County.
