Anne Trejo, 84, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Friday Dec. 13, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was born on Aug. 21, 1940, to the late James Rush Freeman and Ruth Sheffield Freeman in Savannah, Tennessee.
Anne graduated from Central High School in Savannah, Lambuth College in Jackson and received her Master’s Degree from The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. She was an educator throughout her professional life. Anne taught English at the high school and college levels. Later in her career she worked as a marketing and communication specialist at Northwest Pipeline in Salt Lake City, Utah and Methodist Health Systems in Memphis, Tennessee. Anne was a voracious reader with a passion for learning. Most of all, Anne loved her family and was always there for us. We are grateful to have so many wonderful memories of her.
In addition to her parents, Anne is preceded in death by her brother, Jim Freeman; and her son, Bobby Yeiser.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Trejo; daughters, Julianne Yeiser Cole (Richard) and Ginna Yeiser Wahoff (David); grandchildren, Caitlin Davis Easley (Austin), Allie Davis, Lily Wahoff Rawlings (Jake), Jack Wahoff and William Wahoff; great-grandchildren, Magnolia and Michael Easley; and sister Julia Freeman Guy.
A celebration of life will be held with her family at a later date.
