Almalee Redding (12-24-15) service 12-28-15

Almalee Junell Kirk Redding, 96, of Sardis, died Thursday, Dec. 24, in Decatur County.
She was born in Henderson County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Thomas Joseph and Mary Jane Rice Kirk. She was united in marriage to John C. Redding, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Redding was a member of Sardis United Methodist Church and the United Methodist Women. She was employed by the Henderson County School System as well as being a housewife.
She is survived by two children, Alma Joyce Redding Mitchell and Lanny C. Redding, both of Sardis; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Keith Kirk; and a sister, Marybelle Kirk Tapp.
Services were held on Monday, Dec. 28, at Sardis United Methodist Church in Sardis with Allan Rainey and Don Franks officiating. Burial followed in Sardis Cemetery at Sardis, Tennessee.
