Ada Virginia Stidham, 101, of Savannah, formerly of Memphis, Tennessee, and Water Valley, Mississippi, passed away on Monday, March 30, at Savannah Nursing Home and Rehab.
She was born in Moro Bay, Arkansas, near Little Rock, and was the only child of Claude and Eunice McCraken. She used to talk about the fact that she was born on a houseboat. She graduated from Water Valley High School and played on the basketball team. Ada was employed at Arthur Fulmer Company in Memphis for 23 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Clarence Stidham, in 1986.
She leaves her son, Ronnie Stidham and his wife Kathy, of Adamsville, Tennessee; and her daughter Frances Stidham Carey of Charleston, South Carolina, and her husband Jim. She alsdo leaves four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Forest Hill South in Memphis, Tennessee, on Tuesday, April 7.
