Law enforcement authorities report making an arrest and seizing nearly 100 pounds of marijuana and tens of thousands of dollars in a residential drug bust last Thursday.
Daniel Nichols Jr., 58, was arrested at his 385 Harlem St. home in Savannah, where agents with the 24th Judicial District Drug Task Force, Savannah Police Department and Hardin County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at about 10 a.m.
During the search, according to the Drug Task Force, officers found about 94 pounds of marijuana, loaded guns and $68,355 in suspected drug proceeds.
Nichols was charged with possession of marijuana with intent to manufacture, deliver and resale, possession of a firearm during the commission of a dangerous felony, possession of drug paraphernalia, and money laundering, the DTF said.
Nichols’ bond was set at $100,000 and authorities say more arrests are likely in connection with the continuing investigation.
