Darryl Worley Foundation hosting free self defense, wellness programs on Feb. 28-29

The Darryl Worley Foundation is hosting a free self-defense presentation for all ages on Wednesday, Feb. 28, at its office in downtown Savannah.
Danny Odle, who is a sensei – aka teacher – at Savannah Karate School, is making the presentation.
Odle will offer attendees self-defense tips and techniques starting at 5:15 p.m. at the foundation’s office at CB&S Bank, 325 Main St. Enter through the back of the building because the bank will be closed before the program starts.
“He is a great presenter and everyone could learn some useful techniques to keep them safe,” said Cherie Thompson of the Darryl Worley Foundation.
On Thursday, Feb. 29, the foundation office is the site of another free presentation, this one by representatives of Savannah’s Flourish Wellness. The “Don’t Just Live – Flourish,” lecture starting at 5:15 p.m. focuses on ways to improve everyday health and wellness with both medical and holistic therapies and practices.
The events are part of the Worley Foundation’s “Leap Year Lecture Series” concentrating on health and safety topics, held throughout the month of February.
