THP: Two killed, two injured in crash near Morris Chapel in Hardin County
Two people died and two were injured in a motor vehicle collision in Hardin County on Wednesday.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Timothy Mason Marlow, 32, was driving a 2000 Honda Accord and Shelia A. Hopper, 57, was driving a 2012 Dodge Journey on Tenn. 69. The vehicles collided near the Morris Chapel community, south of the intersection of CW White Drive around 10:12 a.m.
Marlow and a passenger in the Honda he was operating, Byron C. Bromley, 62, were killed. Neither was wearing a seat belt. A third occupant in Marlow’s vehicle, Laura A. Bishop, 28, was injured and was wearing a seat belt.
Hopper, the driver of the Dodge, was also reported to be wearing a seat belt and was injured.
The THP said all the occupants of the vehicles are from Tennessee.
The highway was blocked for several hours as a result of the head-on crash, the Hardin County Fire Department said.
