Sisters Impacting Savannah hosting prom wear giveaway
Community group Sisters Impacting Savannah hosts its fifth annual “From Head to Toe” prom giveaway this weekend.
It is no April’s fool joke for those looking to get prom apparel for free.
The organization is giving away dresses, shoes, jewelry, suits and more at Hardin County High School’s cafeteria on Saturday, April 1, starting at 11 a.m.
Students needing prom wear and accessories can shop for free in areas set up like boutiques. A seamstress will be on site for any tailoring needs.
There will also be service giveaways such as a make-up artist session, hair salon session, hair cuts, manicures and pedicures and more.
SIS President Margaret Steele invites all students to attend.
“There will be items for both males and females. The giveaway is also not limited to Hardin County, it is open to all school districts. We are excited to once again host this yearly event to ensure all students can enjoy their prom without the possible financial burden,” Steele said.
She added, “Sisters Impacting Savannah’s goal is to positively impact the community by giving back to our community.”
The organization hosts several giveaways throughout the year, including back to school supplies, Thanksgiving turkeys and Christmas presents for kids of all of ages.
