Donna Jean Garrard, 61, of Savannah, passed away on Monday, Feb. 6, in Columbia, Tennessee. She was born on Sept. 23, 1961, in Hardin County, the daughter of Hubert Jack and the late Barbara Jean Downing Mclin.
Ms. Garrard was the owner of The Village Market in Olive Hill, Tennessee. She lived in Hardin County all her life. She was a member of Cross-Roads Union Church. She enjoyed shopping at Walmart, cooking, taking care of people, and gathering with friends and family.
She is survived by her father Hubert Jack Mclin; significant other, David Bishop of Savannah; sons, Jeffrey Garrard (Wendy) of Savannah, and Bradley Bishop (Stephanie) of Savannah; daughter, Brittany Umphrey (Bryan Browder) of Savannah; sister, Kelly Long (Donnie) of Houston, Texas; brothers, Scotty Mclin (Natalie) of Savannah, and Hassell Mclin (Teresa) of Savannah; and grandchildren, Whitney Garrard, Carson Umphrey, Conner Umphrey, Jazmine Umphrey, Jane Middleton, Trinity Godsey, McKenzie Chambers, Lyla Garrard, Jeffrey Garrard Jr., Ella Bishop and Maggie Bishop.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Jean Downing Mclin.
Memorial services were held on Friday, Feb. 10, at Crossroads Union Church in Savannah, with Timmy Keen officiating. Burial followed at Crossroads Cemetery in Savannah.
