Will Hardin County Schools close Tuesday?

UPDATE, JAN. 31 – School is canceled for today.

ORIGINAL STORY – Hardin County Director of Schools Michael Davis wants parents to be prepared should inclement weather cancel classes on Tuesday, Jan. 31.
Davis said he will be watching the forecast closely to determine whether schools will be in session tomorrow.
“As of now, the weather is OK, but I know there are reports that icing is possible for Hardin County. I will be watching the weather closely and I will let parents know by 5:30 a.m. Tuesday morning whether we will be having school or not,” Davis said.
He added, “I want parents to be prepared now should school be canceled, as it is a real possibility.”
There is a winter advisory in effect locally, starting at midnight tonight and scheduled to end at noon on Wednesday, Feb. 1.
