Weekend Hardin County fair events include demolition derbies, truck and tractor pull
There is still time to enjoy Hardin County’s popular Agricultural Fair.
In addition to exhibits, carnival rides and food, there are various other fun events on Friday night and all day Saturday.
Friday night there’s a goat show at 6. Then USA Truck and Tractor Pull will start at 7 p.m. featuring super-stock, super-farm and pro-stock diesel pulls.
The fair’s activities start at 9 a.m. on Saturday with a car and truck show. There is also a pet and dog show at 12:30 p.m., and a goat pageant at 1:30 p.m. The fair’s popular demolition derby starts at 6 p.m. with the kids and little tykes demolition derby. The full-size derby starts at 7 p.m.
This year’s Agricultural Fair theme is “Barn in the USA,” and the fair has one admission price for access to arena events, along with exhibits and carnival rides. Food and games cost extra.
“We encourage everyone to come on out and enjoy the fair. There are still plenty of fun events, there are great exhibits and fantastic rides,” said Hardin County Fair Board President Keith Franks.
The carnival is at Hardin County’s fairgrounds at 665 Clifton Road. Gates open tonight, Friday, Sept. 23, at 5 p.m., with rides beginning at 6 p.m.
On Saturday, gates open at 8:30 a.m., with rides beginning at 2 p.m.
