Aug. 13 hike at Shiloh Park follows path of Gen. Johnston’s soldiers
Shiloh National Military Park is offering a special ranger-led hike on Saturday, Aug. 13.
Join Ranger Timothy Arnold as he follows the path of Gen. Albert S. Johnston’s solders near the Confederate right flank.
Hikers will discover the Union lines of McArthur and Hurlbut by walking their positions. Ranger Arnold will also lead hikers in the footsteps of the Confederate attacks against the Peach Orchard and discuss the struggles faced by both sides.
The two mile hike over moderate terrain is from 9-11 a.m. Hikers will meet at tour stop 18.
