Bertha Hopson (7-29-22) service 8-6-22

Bertha Hopson, 70, of Savannah, passed away on Friday, July 29. She was born in Fayette County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late James Price and Lois L. Hall Boyd.
She was united in marriage to Vincent Hopson, who survives.
Mrs. Hopson graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin and retired from the Hardin County Board of Education after 38 years, where she worked as a teacher. She was a member of Graham Chapel CME Church, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. and Delta Kappa Gamma.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughters, Alisa Hopson Gray of Jackson, Tennessee, and Amy Hopson of Memphis; brothers, Charlie Hall of Jonesboro, Georgia, Ulysses Moore of Stanton, Tennessee, Clicent Boyd, and Vincent Boyd of Atlanta, Georgia; sisters, Carolyn Taylor of Birmingham, Alabama, Sherron Jernigan of Maryland and Marcella Yed of Columbia, South Carolina.
Services will be held on Friday, Aug. 6, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah, with Vincent Hopson officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens in Savannah.
