Peggy Bishop (6-23-22) service 6-28-22

Peggy Ann Phillips Bishop. 72, of Morris Chapel, passed away on Thursday, June 23. She was born at home in Hardin County on Sept., 24, 1949, and delivered by her sister-in-law, Dessie Irons Phillips. She was the daughter of the late Tommy Calvin Phillips and Jewell Irene Hughes Phillips. She was united in marriage to George H. Bishop Jr. on March 20, 1976.
Peggy was a beautician by trade for 38 years and also worked at Aqua Glass and as a cook for West Hardin Elementary School. She was a member of First Christian Church in Adamsville. She enjoyed fishing, canning, cooking, crafting and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, George H. Bishop Jr., of Morris Chapel; son, Tony Christopher “Chris” Bishop and his wife Marion of Adamsville; daughter, Sabrina Bishop Pipes and her husband Jimmy of Savannah; grandchildren, Madison Bishop Haggard and her husband Garrett, Trevor Bishop and his fiancee Elizabath Robinson, Gabby Franks, Jacob Pipes, Konrad Bishop, Makenzie Bishop and Chance Bishop; great-grandson, Hayes Haggard; sisters, Linda Wicker of Oakland, Tennessee and Kay Robison Ivy of Jacks Creek, Tennessee; brother, Billy Phillips of Savannah; and half sister, Doris Forsyth of Selmer.
In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by her brother, Danny Phillips and half siblings, Maggie Buchanan, Muriel Jones, Mabel Wicker, Ruth Forsyth, Hayes Phillips, Ray Phillips, Karl Joe Phillips and Tommie Arnold Phillips.
Peggy was loved by many and will be missed by all.
Services were held on Tuesday, June 28, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Adamsville with Duane Eliff and John Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at Milledgeville Cemetery in Milledgeville.
