Kimberly Atkins (6-18-22)

Kimberly C. Atkins, 62, of Savannah, passed away on Saturday, June 18. She is the daughter of the late Author Lee and Mattie Mae Winters Jackson.
Mrs. Atkins was united in marriage to Ray Neal Atkins, who preceded her in death.
She was employed with Wal-Mart for over 20 years, and was a member of St. Mark Baptist Church and Sisters Impacting Savannah.
She is survived by her children, Charay Atkins and Cardiss Atkins, both of Savannah; one granddaughter; sisters, Sharon D. Jackson and Charma S. Jackson; brothers, James L. Jackson, David L. Jackson, Dorris L. Collins, and Jackie B. Collins.
In addition to her parents and husband, Kimberly was preceded in death by her sister, Marie Atkinson; and brothers, Delmar M. Jackson and Tracy C. Dixon.
Services were held on Saturday, June 25, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Lancey Robinson and Prentiss Burdine officiating. Burial followed at Memory Gardens in Savannah.
