Alene Donaldson (6-23-22) service 6-26-22

Alene Malone Donaldson, 94, of Morris Chapel, passed away on Thursday, June 23, in Adamsville. She was born on Nov. 18, 1927 in the Wright Community of Tennessee, the daughter of the late Vannie Buren and Rita Flois Parker Malone.
On June 9, 1949, she was united in marriage to Frank L. Donaldson, who preceded his wife in death on February 12, 2014.
Alene graduated from Morris Chapel High School in 1946. She went on to graduate from Nashville Business College where she played on the Women’s AAU basketball team during her time there. Mrs. Donaldson retired as director of operations for Wayne Out County Teachers Credit Union, Michigan, after 22 years.
She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in the Mud Creek community of Adamsville, a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a past member of the Morris Chapel Cemetery Board.
Alene enjoyed bowling and was a member of the United States Bowling Congress in Savannah, and the Savannah Bowling Center Ladies League. She also enjoyed fishing, gardening, spending time with her family, sports of all types, and watching Wheel of Fortune, the Game Show Channel and college basketball.

She is survived by her sister, Glenda Malone Milligan of Morris Chapel; nephew, Stephen Milligan of Bath Springs, Tennessee; niece, Melinda Milligan Screws and her husband Clark of Morris Chapel; great-nieces, Megan Screws and Hannah Screws, both of Morris Chapel; great-nephew, Tyler Screws of Morris Chapel; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, Alene was preceded in death by her brother, James B. Malone.
Services were held on Sunday, June 26 at Morris Chapel United Methodist Church in Morris Chapel with Robert Conder and David Johns officiating. Burial followed at Morris Chapel Cemetery in Morris Chapel.
