Virginia King (6-10-22)

Virginia King, 97, of Savannah, passed away on Friday, June 10. She was born in Pasadena, California, the daughter of the late William Earl and Frances Edith Woodley Beers. She was united in marriage to Orman Doyle King, who preceded her in death.
Ms. King was self-employed for many years care giving and sitting with the elderly. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church, and volunteered at Harbert Hills Nursing Home, where she was the first Activity Director and the first cook.
Virginia is survived by her sons, Richard King of Savannah, Larry King of Atlanta, Georgia, Allen King of Marino Valley, California, and Mike King of Westmoreland, Tennessee; stepsons, Joseph King of Hopkinsville, Tennessee, and Jere King of Colorado; nine grandchildren; and eleven great- -grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, Virginia was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Langston; stepsons, Estal King and Charlie King; and siblings, Anne Beers Heather, Jinx Beers, Roy Beers and William Beers.
