Ruth Byrd (6-5-22) service 6-9-22

Ruth Ann Hall Byrd, 82, of Savannah, passed away on Sunday, June 5. She was born in Dickson, Tennessee, on September 7, 1939, the daughter of the late Luther Clyde Dycus and Ruth Grissby Pack Jenkins.
While Ruth lived in Dickson County, she had worked in the healthcare industry at clinics and doctors offices. When she later moved to Savannah, she had worked in the office for Dr. Churchwell, as a CNA at Park Rest and Hardin Home Nursing Homes and at Elk Valley Home Health, she enjoyed this job the most.
Ruth was of the Church of Christ belief, and enjoyed growing flowers, gardening and she liked to sing about blue birds in the summer.
Ruth Ann Byrd is survived by her daughters, Marcia Hall McKinney and her husband Thomas, and Gerry Anne Kilburn, all of Crump; grandchildren, John Talman Garrison Hall Bricker, Billy Andrew Bricker, Miley Garrison Kilburn and James Micheal King; great- grandchildren, Elizabeth, Shawn, Jean Ann, Kinzleigh and J.T.; and sisters, Barbara Powell of Nashville, and Marvene Fultz and her husband John of White Bluff, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Byrd; and brothers, Luther Clyde Dycus Jr. and David Willis Dycus.
Services were held on Thursday, June 9 at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Darrell Moffett officiating. Burial followed at the Mt. Hermon Cemetery in Savannah.
