Two killed in McNairy County crash

A two-vehicle crash in McNairy County claimed two lives Wednesday.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Guys resident Anthony Hopkins, 60, and Edwin Moore, 59, of Iuka, Mississippi, were killed in the crash on U.S. 45-S which occurred about 5:26 a.m.
Hopkins was driving a 2000 Chevrolet Tracker north on the highway with Moore as the passenger. The Tracker collided with a  2019 Ford F-250 also traveling north operated by Gerald Baker, 33, of Selmer, just south of the intersection of Smith Store Road, the THP’s preliminary report says.
The occupants of the Tracker were not wearing seat belts. Baker was wearing a seat belt and was not reported injured. Any possible charges are pending the outcome of the investigation, the THP said.
