Betty Short (3-30-22) service 4-2-22

Betty Short, age 76, passed away in her home surrounded by her family on Wednesday, March 30, in Savannah.

Betty was born on Aug. 16, 1945, in Estill Springs, Tennessee, to the late Will and Mary Prince.

Betty loved her Lord and gospel music. She also enjoyed viewing birds especially hummingbirds. Most of all Betty loved her family.

Betty retired from Savannah Healthcare and was a member of Church on the Rock in Savannah.

She has been reunited in heaven with her loving husband Marvin Short.

She is also preceded in death by her parents; and brothers, Jack Prince, Hershall Prince and Bud Prince.

Betty is survived by her sons, Timothy Short of Savannah, Randy Hicks of Hazel Green, Alabama, Wesley Short of Savannah and David Short of Savannah; stepson, Stephen Short of Olive Branch, Mississippi; stepdaughter, Rhonda McKenzie of Parsons; sister, Polly Ray of Tullahoma, Tennessee; brother, Curtis Prince; and 12 grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be members of the Hardin County Fire Department.

A service for Betty was held on Saturday, April 2, at 1 p.m., at Church on the Rock in Savannah. Betty was laid to rest at Lebanon Cemetery in Sardis.
