Hardin County High School senior Dawson Rogers won the grand prize for Overall Best Welder in the 2022 South Central Tennessee Regional Welding Competition at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology – Pulaski.
HCHS welding instructor David Bailey said Hardin County was well represented at the March 4 contest, with five of his upper-level welding students traveling to the regional competition.
“Hardin County High School is very proud of all our students who competed, including Nevaeh Morse, Dylan Byrd, Josh Floyd and Maizey Martin,” Bailey said.
To win Overall Best Welder, Rogers went up against 73 different competitors from 11 different counties.
