Jimmy Phillips (2-10-22) service 2-13-22

Jimmy Wayne Phillips, of Savannah, was born on April 6, 1950, in Hardin County, the son of the late James Benjamin and Betty Elizabeth Steward Phillips.
On Aug. 12, 1974, he was united in marriage to Betty June Eakers, who preceded her husband in death on Feb. 3, 1999.
Mr. Phillips worked for Parris Manufacturing for 24 years and as a machinist for Connector Castings in Selmer for 10 years. He enjoyed going to yard sales and gardening. Jimmy was always working on something, including lawn mowers and garden tillers. He was of Methodist belief.
Jimmy Wayne Phillips departed this life on Thursday, Feb. 10, in Savannah, at the age of 71 years, 10 months and 4 days.
He is survived by his daughter, Elizabeth Renay Copeland and her husband Travis of Savannah; grandsons, Jason Tyler Copeland and Justin Travis Copeland; great-granddaughter, Everleigh Jonette Copeland; and stepsister, Betty DeBerry of Savannah.
In addition to his parents and wife, Jimmy was preceded in death by his brother, Joe Robert Phillips.
Services were held on Sunday, Feb. 13, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with David Baker officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Hermon Cemetery at Savannah.
