Minnie Franks (2-11-22) service 2-16-22

Minnie Sue Clay Franks, 84, of Savannah, died on Friday, Feb. 11, one day after the death of her husband Hollis Odell Franks.
She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Herbert Nolan and Rosa Lee Downing Clay. She was united in marriage to Hollis Odell Franks, who preceded his wife in death.
Mrs. Franks retired from Savannah Manufacturing, where she worked in the piece work department. She was a member of Shady Grove Freewill Baptist Church and Woodmen of the World.
She is survived by her children, Cathy Diane Franks Simmons Bittle of Savannah, Carol Annette Franks Simmons of Collinwood and Keith Allen Franks of Savannah; eight grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; brothers, Paul Clay of Goodlettsville, Tennessee and Ronnie Clay of Jack’s Creek, Tennessee; and sister, Mary Nell Castellaw of Germantown, Tennessee.
Services were held on Wednesday, Feb. 16, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Carl Hughes officiating. Burial followed in Neill Cemetery at Savannah.
