Jerry Matlock (2-8-22) service 2-10-22

Jerry Wayne Matlock, 83, of Michie, died on Tuesday, Feb. 8, in Lexington, Tennessee.
He was born in Hardin County, the son of the late Reeder Columbus Matlock and Floy Lee Jones Matlock. He was united in marriage to Barbara Jane Hunt who survives.
He worked Goodyear and also later in life at Ripley Industries for many years.
In addition to his wife Barbara Matlock, he is survived by his children, Marty Matlock, Gary Matlock and Janet Nixon; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson; four sisters, Lovey Dedrick, Oma Jean Ratliff, Lou Jane Essary, Martha Rinks; and five brothers, R.C., Carl Joe, E.G., J.D. and Charles Ray Matlock.
Services were held on Thursday, Feb. 10, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Adamsville with Mike Moore and Jeff Shaw officiating. Burial followed in Matlock Gardens at Morris Chapel.
