Rosie Kelly (1-31-22) service 2-4-22

Rosie “Mamaw” Kelly, 89, of Savannah, died on Monday, Jan. 31, in Jackson, Tennessee.
She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Charlie and Fannie Hurley Benson. She was united in marriage to George Earl Kelly Sr., who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Kelly worked for many years as a cook for the Cherry Truck Stop and she also spent time working as a motel keeper in Mooreville, Mississippi.
She is survived by her son, Donald Ray Childers of Florida; sister, Louise Kelly of Tupelo, Mississippi; two grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, George Earl Kelly Jr.; sisters, Bonnie Durham, Charlene Jones and Birdie Steakley; brothers, Roy Edward Benson and Albert Benson; and a granddaughter.
Services were held on Friday, Feb. 4, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Ron Norville and Chase Kelly officiating. Burial followed in Neill Cemetery at Savannah.
