Dineta Bumpous Williamson, 69, of Savannah, died on Sunday, Jan. 23, in Jackson, Tennessee.
She was born in Wayne County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late George Bumpous Sr. and Opal Vernita Hassell Bumpous. She was united in marriage to Frenchie Williamson, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Williamson worked as a secretary for Stauffer Chemical Company in Jackson, Tennessee. She was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in Clifton and was an Home Interior representative.
She is survived by her brothers, George Bumpous Jr. and David Allan Bumpous, both of Savannah; nephew and nieces; and a host of great nieces and nephews; a great-great niece; and a great-great nephew.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Deborah Ann Hopson Barnes; and one nephew.
Services were held on Monday, Jan. 31, at Corinth National Cemetery in Corinth, Mississippi, with Rev. David Curry officiating. Burial followed in Corinth National Cemetery at Corinth, Mississippi.
