Wm. “Covie” Qualls (11-20-22) service 1-27-22

Wm. “Covie” Qualls, 86, of Savannah, died on Thursday, Jan. 20.
He was born in Waterloo, Alabama, the son of Lena Mae Hubbard Blount. He was united in marriage to Virginia Rose, who survives.
Mr. Qualls served his country in the United States Army. He was a foreman for United Gunite & Construction Company in Florence, Alabama. He was a former member of First Assembly of God Church.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Qualls of Savannah; daughters, Diane Story and Ginger Daniel, both of Savannah; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Howell Glover of Johnson City, Tennessee, Jahue Blount, and Emm Blount, both of Savannah; and sister, Virginia Peterson of Savannah.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Mickey Qualls; and a brother, Jim Blount.
Services are held on Thursday, Jan. 27, at 3 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Josh Franks officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens at Savannah.
