Billy Jones (1-4-22) service 1-9-22

Billy Gene Jones, 81, of Savannah, died on Tuesday, Jan. 4, at Jackson, Tennessee.
He was born in Savannah, the son of the late Robert and Donie Hopper Jones. He was united in marriage to Debra Faye Rowland, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Jones worked as a dozer operator for seven years for Adamsville Sand & Gravel. He was also employed as a construction worker doing various projects over the years.
He is survived by his son, Greg Jones of Savannah; sisters, Dorothy Frazier and Betty Jo Harris, both of Savannah; brother, Bobby Jones of Savannah; a grandson; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Gladys Tidwell, Ruby DeShazier and Dovie Franks; brothers, Kenneth Jones, James Jones, Jimmy Jones, Robert Jones and Ab Jones; and a granddaughter.
Services were held on Sunday, Jan. 9, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with John Robinson officiating. Burial followed in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Savannah.
