Jerry DeShazier (12-26-21) service 12-30-21

Jerry A. DeShazier, of Savannah, was born in Savannah on Sept. 11, 1952, the son of the late George A. and Shirley Geans DeShazier.
On Oct. 18, 2003, he was united in marriage to Connie R. Warren, who survives.
Jerry retired after 44 years from APAC in Corinth, Mississippi where he did road work and construction. He was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Savannah. Jerry, in his spare time, enjoyed hunting, fishing, yard work, watching TV and telling stories. He loved spending time with his grandchildren.
Jerry departed this life on Sunday, Dec. 26, in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 69 years, 3 months and 15 days.
In addition to his wife of 18 years Connie of Savannah, he is survived by his children, Wesley R. DeShazier of Chattanooga, Cody Lee DeShazier of Savannah, Matthew E. Wilson and his wife Samantha of Adamsville and Marcus D. Wilson and his wife Keshia of Bethel Springs; grandchildren, Seth, Madison, Hunter, Brantley, Devon, Houston, Alexander, Keyllie and Kynleigh; sisters, Marie Keel and her husband Donald of Savannah and Brenda Suratt and her husband James of Adamsville; and brother, Larry G. DeShazier of Savannah.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents, Will DeShazier, Della DeShazier, Bertha Geans and Joe Geans.
Memorial donations may be made to the Darryl Worley Foundation or American Lung Association.
Services will be held on Thursday, Dec. 30, at 3 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Justin Warren officiating. Burial will follow in Crump Cemetery at Crump.
