Clifford Stricklin (12-23-21) service 12-28-21
Clifford E. Stricklin, of Savannah, departed this life on Thursday, Dec. 23, at the age of 81 years, 7 months and 5 days.
He was born in Savannah on May 18, 1940, the son of the late Burt and Beulah Franks Stricklin. On Nov. 18, 1960, he was united in marriage to Ellen McFall, who survives.
Clifford was a home builder with Bear Construction. He loved yard work and gardening, watching his bluebirds and hummingbirds.
Clifford is survived by his wife of 61 years, Ellen of Savannah; sons, Steve Stricklin and his special friend Treena, Gerry Stricklin and his wife Cheryl, all of Savannah, and Chris Stricklin and his wife Cate of Nashville; grandchildren, Jeremy Stricklin (Sara), Jordan Johnson (Robert), Jared Stricklin (Callie), Jenny Baugus (Brian) and Josh Stricklin (Brittany); and great-grandchildren, Lucas Stricklin, Noah Stricklin, Lilly Stricklin, Sawyer Stricklin, Eli Stricklin, William Reaves, Knox Stricklin, Malachi Johnson, Rozalynn Johnson, Finley Johnson, Zoey Gardner, Parker Stricklin and Olivia Baugus.
In addition to his parents, Clifford was preceded in death by his brothers, William Stricklin, Grady Stricklin, Johnny Stricklin; and sisters, Louise Brown and Allene Brown.
Services were held on Tuesday, Dec. 28, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Mitch Boulton and Daniel Holt officiating. Burial followed in Centenary Cemetery at Lutts.
