Charles Carroll (12-14-21) service 12-18-21

Charles Wayne Carroll, 77, of Michie, died Tuesday, Dec. 14.
He was the son of the late Harris and Grace Carroll. He was united in marriage to Gloria Dean Patrick Carroll, who survives.
Mr. Carroll served his country proudly in the United States Marines serving in Vietnam. He received the Good Conduct Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Rifle Marksmanship Badge. He retired in 2005 after 28 years of service with the Tennessee Division of Forestry in Hardin County.
In addition to his wife Gloria Carroll of Michie, he is survived by three children, Dawn Franks of Tupelo, Mississippi, Stephanie Hunt of Savannah and Lee Carroll of Michie; two grandchildren he raised as his own, Jeffrey “Brett” Rinks and Makaela Beth Rinks; six more grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Stella Ray, Ann Williams and Linda Ard; brother, Neil Carroll; and dozens of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Rhonda Rinks; five sisters, Jeanette Patterson, Myra Byrd, Josie Morris, Judy Gober and Alma Crowley; one brother, Melvin Carroll; and a great-grandchild.
Services were held on Saturday, Dec. 18, at 1 p.m., at Oak Hill Christian Church in Corinth, Mississippi, with Frank Williams officiating. Burial followed in Pisgah Cemetery at Shiloh.
