Bobbie Vesta Bailey Robinson, 71, of Savannah, died on Tuesday, Nov. 16.
She was born in Savannah, the daughter of the late Felix “Jazz” and Clara Haynes Bailey.
She worked as a payroll clerk at TVA for five years. She was a correctional officer at CCA (Core Civic) from 1997-2020. She served as a youth and young adult leader at Graham Chapel CME Church, ordained as a minister in 1995. She was member of Love and Truth Adamsville from 1997 until 2021.
She is survived by two brothers, Johnny Bailey of Bowling Green, Kentucky and Larry Bailey of Savannah; two daughters, Clarissa Robinson and Melissa Robinson; a grandson; nieces, nephews, a host of great-nieces and nephews, and a great-great niece.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters, Susan Harris, Carolyn Taylor and Myrtle Dixon; a niece; and two nephews.
Services were held on Saturday, Nov. 20, at Love and Truth Church in Adamsville with Scott Melson officiating. Burial followed in Memory Gardens at Savannah.
