Lavell Burross (10-20-21) service 10-22-21

Lavell Maness Burross, of Morris Chapel, departed this life on Wednesday, Oct. 20, at the age of 86 years, 10 months and 8 days.
She was born in Henderson County, Tennessee on Dec. 12, 1934, the daughter of the late Herman B. and Erna Thompson Maness.
Lavell was a member of Morris Chapel Baptist Church and Woodmen of the World. She was a substitute teacher at Morris Chapel Elementary and for 25 years Lavell worked with the head start program at Southwest Human Services. She enjoyed gardening, square dancing and going to church.
Lavell is survived by her sons, Dave Burross and his wife Karen of Stantonville and Gary Burross of Savannah; grandchildren, Tamara Grisanti Burross, Brooke Bingham Burross, and Brandi Latina Gilbert; great grandchildren, Hallie Oakley and Macee Gilbert; sisters, her twin Lavergne McMullin and her husband John, and Georgia Franks, all of Savannah.
In addition to her parents, Lavell was preceded in death by her brother, Franklin Maness.
Services were held on Friday, Oct. 22, at 3 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Mike Moore officiating. Burial followed in Hurricane Cemetery at Sardis.
