Fire damages home on Fairground Street

Firefighters bring a hose through a side window of the home.

City and Hardin County firefighters are at the scene Tuesday morning of a house fire in Savannah at 140 Fairground St.
Heavy smoke was coming from windows at the front and sides of the residence and firefighters were pouring water on a blaze inside through a window.
According to the Savannah Police Department, all occupants are out of the dwelling and appear to be safe.
Authorities are asking people to avoid the area for awhile if possible.
