Savannah-Hardin County Airport hosting free ‘Open House and Fly-in’
Get an up close look at aircraft. Fly in a bi-plane or a helicopter. See aerial demonstrations by war birds throughout the day.
Saturday, Oct. 2. is the Savannah-Hardin County Airport’s Open House and Fly-in, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Admission is free.
“It’s a good day to get out and see our new runway,” said Derick Seaton, airport manager. “Our theme is ‘Home Grown Patriotism,’ so wear your patriotic colors.”
Seaton says that, in addition to vintage military aircraft, there will be a variety of aircraft and vendors.
“There are still tables available for vendors,” said Seaton.
Gates open at 9:30 a.m. Members of the Hardin County High School Honor Society will direct the parking of cars.
For more information or to request a vending table, call the airport at 731-925-6380.
