Elizabeth Harville (9-11-21) service 9-19-21

Elizabeth Harville, 93, of Savannah, died on Saturday, Sept. 11.
She was born in Wayne County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late William Henry and Lillie Brewer Melson. She was united in marriage to James E. Harville, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Harville was a member of Graham United Methodist Church For over 70 years. She also helped with the election every year and was named “aide-de-camp” to Gov. Ned McWherter.
She is survived by her daughters, Patsy Lavonne Hyde of Savannah, Mary Jane Wolfe of Memphis and Donna Jean Owens of Savannah; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; numerous step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, James N. Harville; sisters, Carrie Welch, Sarah Franks, Gladys Brown, Christine Melson and Mary Annie Melson; and brothers, Robert, John, Pony, Charlie, Herbert, Frank, Austin, Virgil and Billy Melson.

Services were held on Sunday, Sept. 19, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Jim Wright officiating. Burial followed in Memory Gardens at Savannah.
