Jessie Cummings (9-9-21) service 9-14-21

Jessie Mae Middleton Cummings, 85, of Savannah, died on Thursday, Sept. 9, in Nashville.
She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late William Dick and Lanta Mae Franks Middleton. She was united in marriage to J.L. Cummings, who preceded his wife in death.
Mrs. Cummings retired from a garment factory, where she worked in the hemming department. She loved going to church and attended Souls Harvest Church.
She is survived by her children, Judy Neill, Betty Wilson and Sheila Collier, all of Savannah; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and sister, Faye Middleton of Savannah.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one son, Robert Cummings; one grandson; four brothers; and four sisters.
Services were held on Tuesday, Sept. 14, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Jeff Crosswhite officiating. Burial followed in Smith Cemetery at Savannah.
