Bobby Baskins (8-31-21) service 9-7-21

Bobby Joe Baskins, 69, of Savannah, died on Tuesday, Aug. 31, at his residence in Savannah.
He was born in Lauderdale County, Alabama, the son of the late Clarence Edward Baskins and late Doris Virginia Crotts Baskin.
Mr. Baskins served his country in the United States Army, retiring after 21 years of service. He worked as a local driver for the trucking industry. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Moose Lodge.
He is survived by his daughters, Raven Powers of Selmer and Shannon Whitley of Selmer; three brothers, Roy Baskins of Kaufman, Texas, Ricky Baskins of Selmer and Randy Baskin of Jacksonville, Florida; and four grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Geraldine Baskin.
Services were held on Tuesday, Sept. 7, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Bobby Pickens officiating. Burial followed in Plummer’s Chapel Cemetery at Savannah.
