Beatrice Highland (8-28-21)

Beatrice Highland, 91, of Savannah, died on Saturday, Aug. 28.
She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Vernie Benjamin and Bertha Austin Highland.
She attended Walnut Grove Church of Christ as long as she was able. At one time she was known as the community babysitter.
She is survived by her brothers, David Highland of Savannah and Eugene Highland of Mishawaka, Indiana; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces, and great great nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Villa May Tilley, Flolla Qualls, Thelma Bevis, Geneva Poll, Lois Highland and Lucille Highland; and her brothers, James Highland and Charles Highland.
Private services will be held.
