Shirley Ann “Dottie” Banks, 73, of Adamsville, died on Thursday, Aug. 26, in Savannah.
She was born in Savannah, the daughter of the late Loyd and Lela DuBoise Davis. She was united in marriage to James Douglas Banks, who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Banks was of Pentecostal belief. She worked as a machine operator for Engineering Plastic for three years.
She is survived by her daughters, Angela Barnett of Adamsville and Pamela Banks of Pickwick; son, Michael Banks of Adamsville; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters, Lillian Davis of Adamsville, Ellen Wilkerson of Crump, Debbie Warren of Crump, Teresa Lish of Humboldt, Tennessee, and Samantha Buttram of Humboldt, Tennessee; brothers, Leland “Bo” Davis, Donnie Davis, Ronald Davis and Loyd Davis, all of Savannah; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kimberly Wardlow.
Services were held on Saturday, Aug. 28, at Christian Assembly United Pentecostal Church in Adamsville with Phillip Johnson officiating. Burial followed in Mount Hermon Cemetery at Savannah.
