Savannah Rotary Club hosting 14th annual Shiloh Park four mile run scholarship fundraiser

The Savannah Rotary Club is hosting its 14th “Run in the Park” scholarship fundraiser at Shiloh National Military Park on Saturday, Sept. 18.
Registration for the four-miler begins at 7 a.m. and the run starts at 8 a.m.
The setting combines the historic attractions of Shiloh Battlefield along trails and roads mostly on asphalt.
“Runners from the tri-state area and all surrounding counties have already begun signing up to run” said Rotary President DeLaney Timberman. “We invite all groups and individuals to join us. Whether you are a runner, a walker, or a Civil War history buff, you’ll love this event.”
Refreshments are available at the finish and all runners get a commemorative T-shirt.
Registration forms are available at the Tennessee River Museum on Main Street in Savannah, the club’s Facebook page or by emailing savannahrotaryrun@gmail.com.
The club says all proceeds go to Savannah Rotary/Rotary International, helping to fund scholarships and international endeavors including PolioPlus, which aims to eradicate polio from the planet.
