Wilma Barrier Haynes White, 96, of Savannah, died on Wednesday, Aug. 11, in Savannah.

She was born in Hardin County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Jacob Thomas and Dora Cossey Barrier.

She was united in marriage to Dueward Haynes, who preceded her in death. Later, she was united in marriage to Noel White, who preceded her in death.

Mrs. White worked at Brown Shoe Company and Angelica Manufacturing until her retirement. She was a member of Savannah Church of Christ.

She is survived by her daughter, Laura Spradlin of Savannah; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by her twin daughters, Claudia Haynes and Frankie Brown; sons, Gary Haynes and Paul Haynes; brothers, Dueward Barrier, George “G.H.” Barrier, Guy Barrier, Charlie Barrier and Gordon Barrier; and sisters, Clemmie Abrams, Beulah Daniels, Lorene Franklin and Laura Mae Barrier.

Services were held on Saturday, Aug. 14, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah with David Baker and Barry Binion officiating. Burial followed in Memory Gardens at Savannah.
