Emanuel “Bunk” Taylor (8-12-21) service 8-18-21

Emanuel “Bunk” Taylor, 84, of Savannah, died on Thursday, Aug. 12, in Nashville.
He was born in Hardin County, Tennessee, the son of the late James Hollis and Mattie Pearl Tucker Taylor. He was united in marriage to Cornelia Brown, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Taylor worked as a supervisor in construction. He was a Shriner and Mason in Dayton, Ohio and a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his son, John C. Taylor of Beech Island, South Carolina; daughters, Mariam Works and Shelonda Jackson, both of Dayton, Ohio; twin brother, Nathaniel Taylor of Germany; sisters, Shirley Tall of Nashville, Virginia Taylor of Chicago, Illinois, Dorothy Welch of Chicago, Illinois, and Mary Jordan of Opelika, Alabama; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James E. Taylor, Billy Malcombe Taylor, and Frank Taylor.
Services were held on Wednesday, Aug. 18, at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah with Eddie Payne officiating. Burial followed in Memory Gardens at Savannah.
