Lovie Jean Jarrett, of Savannah, was born on Feb. 25, 1957, in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Harold and Irene Jarrett.
Prior to her illness, Lovie worked at Shaw’s Komfort Motel and loved to swim, listen to music, clean her car, travel, and care for others. She was a member of Bible Methodist Church in Savannah. Ms. Jarrett also enjoyed watching shows and reading books from Joyce Meyer Ministries.
Lovie Jean Jarrett departed this life on Friday, July 30, in Savannah, at the age of 64 years, 5 months and 5 days.
She is survived by her son, Scotty McLain of Savannah; daughter, Brandy McLain of Savannah; brothers, Doug Jarrett, Harold Jarrett and Ronnie Jarrett; grandchildren, Brittany McLain, Tristan Barnes and Brianna Lindsay; and great-grandson, Quentin Lindsay.
In addition to her parents, Lovie was preceded in death by her daughter, Misty McLain; sister, Brenda Jarrett; and grandson, Christian Scott Shoemake.
Memorial services were held on Sunday, Aug. 8, at 3 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors in Savannah with Charles Linam officiating.
