Douglas “Skip” Brown Jr., of Nashville, departed this life on Monday, July 26, at the age of 53 years, 3 months and 18 days.
He was born in Savannah on April 8, 1968, the son of Doug and Elaine Brooks Brown.
Skip had recently moved to Nashville and was a maintenance man for Brown, Brown and Associates. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Skip is survived by his daughter, Hallie Brown and her fiancé Jason Gayheart; stepdaughter, Ashley Binetsky and her husband Serge; his parents, Doug and Elaine Brown; sister, Nancy Lockridge (Scotty Hudson); brother, Mike Brown; mother of his child, Nancy Brown; nephews, Andy Guinn and Noah Brown; nieces, Kristen Brown and Kolbe Lockridge; great nephew, Jaxon Bowling; great nieces, Annabelle Guinn and Ayla Powell; and special friend, Sonya Ballard.
Services were held on Sunday, Aug. 1, at 1 p.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Tracy Love and Pastor Bob Wint officiating. Burial followed in Lonesome Pine Cemetery at Savannah.
