Billy Deshazier (7-17-21) service 7-22-21

Billy Wayne Deshazier, of Savannah, departed this life on Saturday, July 17, at the age of 76 years, 8 months and 20 days.
He was born in Savannah on Oct. 27, 1944, the son of the late Arch Deshazier and Maggie Ward Banks. On July 9, 1963, he was united in marriage to Helen Smith, who preceded him in death on June 8, 2015.
Billy was a lifelong Hardin Countian and worked production for Temple Chattanooga. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Billy is survived by his children, Melissa Hottiman and her husband Lamond, Connie Frost and her husband Jerald, Charles Deshazier, and Jeffrey Deshazier and his wife April, all of Savannah; grandchildren, Cameron Deshazier, Ashley Deshazier, Starla Hopkins, Dirish Hottiman, Nathan Frost, Brittany Landrum, Timothy Deshazier, Bessie Deshazier and Jeffrey Deshazier Jr.; 10 great-grandchildren and two more on the way; sisters, Betty Lewis and Viola Holt; and brothers, Odie Deshazier, David Deshazier and Carmack Deshazier.
In addition to his parents, Arch Deshazier and Maggie Banks and mother of his children, Helen Deshazier, Billy was preceded in death by his sisters, Lillie Smith and Linda Balentine; and brothers, Buster Deshazier, Danny Deshazier, Henry Deshazier and Archie L.V. Deshazier.
Services were held on Thursday, July 22, at 11 a.m., at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Danny Keymon officiating. Burial followed in Neill Cemetery at Savannah.
