Bertha Brooks (6-7-21) service 6-11-21

Bertha Mae Brooks, 86, of Savannah, died on Monday, June 7, in Savannah.
She was born in Hardin County, the daughter of the late Clyde Alexander and Bertha Edna Melinda Bell Melson Franks. She was united in marriage to Johnny Boyd Stricklin, who preceded her in death. She later was united in marriage to Charles W. Brooks Jr., who preceded her in death.
Mrs. Brooks was a homemaker and also helped her husband with upholstery work and farming. She was a member of Abrams Chapel Methodist Church and attended Savannah Seventh Day Adventist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Rita Jackson of Linden, Tennessee; stepdaughters, Cyndi, Melanie and Anna; two grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; brothers, Clyde A. Franks Jr. and J.C. Franks, both of Savannah, and William Franks of Manchester, Tennessee; and sister, Susie Wilson of Savannah.
In addition to her first husband, Johnny Boyd Stricklin, second husband, Charles Brooks Jr. and parents, she was preceded in death by one infant son; one daughter, Linda Gail Stricklin; brother, James Lewis Franks; and sister, Sarah Evelyn Franks.
Services were held on Friday, June 11, at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Savannah with Daniel Holt officiating. Burial followed in Germany Branch Cemetery at Savannah.
