Shiloh National Cemetery to again host Memorial Day ceremony after 2020 pause for COVID-19

After canceling last year’s ceremony due to the coronavirus pandemic, the long-running traditional Memorial Day service is returning to Shiloh National Military Park.
At 11 a.m. Monday the park is hosting its annual Memorial Day observance ceremony in the Shiloh National Cemetery. This service includes music, patriotic salutes, and the laying of a wreath on the grave of Hardin County native Edgar Johnson.
“Memorial Day is a day for remembering all the people who have died while serving in our country’s armed forces,” said Shiloh Park Superintendent Allen Etheridge. “We are pleased to once again be able to invite everyone to commemorate our fallen heroes.”
